Taking a creative approach to Life

Accepting new adult clients with late morning/ early afternoon availability (in office or telehealth)

As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified Art Therapist I offer a combination of counseling and art therapy services. Using the strengths you already have and by taking the time to learn new coping techniques you can improve your daily life. Areas of specialty include creatively reviving your true self, building in daily relaxation routines for reducing stress, navigating difficult relationships without losing yourself in them, securing career satisfaction through self reflection of priorities and values, improving self-esteem and assertiveness for the highly sensitive person, coping with grief and loss in difficult times, developing secure boundaries after trauma, adjusting to change with personal meaning as your beacon for inspiration, and releasing lingering sadness and anxiety. Let’s add some color back to your life!

With an integrated approach using Cognitive Behavioral, Attachment and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness and Strength Based Therapies we can start to explore how the way you think affects the way you feel and act.  CBT has been shown to be a clinically effective approach to overcoming depression and anxiety.  ACT is an excellent approach for changing communication patterns, setting boundaries, improving compassion, and connecting with valuable relationships and self worth. Art Therapy provides a nonverbal outlet for processing self-image, trauma, and grief and messages that can get bottled up or have no words. With training in Career Counseling I additionally can assist in assessing career satisfaction, align with meaningful career goals and applying skill sets to new opportunities. I provide all of these approaches and have personally seen so many accept help and take the first step in making positive change in their life.

If you are looking for someone to help you start to make positive changes in your life please email me at christina@createandheal.org for scheduling or questions.
